Btw! The story behind our iconic logo, is a photo of the Owner of Ginger Pink’s grandson trying a sour lemon for the first time! Which reminded her of the similar nostalgic memory of trying a salty plum for the first time! A staple for a lot of Darwinians growing up, thanks to Darwin’s Chinese community!
And so we merged the two together and that’s how our logo was created :))
The Ginger Pink store is also located in a heritage listed building and one of the previous owners was a Chinese merchant who sold Salty Plums! That’s why we were also inspired to put “Salty Plum” in Chinese on the top!
